Welcome to Glima Denmark

We practice the three styles of Glima, all of which are unarmed: Hryggspennu-tök, Fang Lausa-tök, and Glima Brokar-tök.

We work on reconstructing armed fighting from the                            Viking Age and the Early Middle Ages.                                                 This is done using saga texts,                                                  archaeological findings, and 1.33 -                                                           the oldest existing fencing manual.

Occasionally, we also practice Bartitsu,

a British martial art from 1898 also known

as the fighting style of Sherlock Holmes.
